Just an update....we've had a busy few weekends recently with our best friends leaving Japan and us hanging out with them before they left. Aisha's daddy is actually staying with us for a few weeks....still can't believe they're leaving Japan. We've been here together for seven years so it's hard to imagine what life will be like for us after this summer break. Ahhhh good memories....Who knows, maybe we'll end up somewhere else working together and having some more great experiences together. One can only hope.
Mother's Day was lovely. Phil organized a facial and pedicure for me and I found this nice open air cafe in Harajuku. Had lunch and a coffee alone and read my book....the simple pleasures in life.
We head to Canada in 5 weeks. We arrive June 19th. We're looking forward to it....the slow pace and a relaxing few weeks. The girls are excited already to get on the plane and see nanny and poppy.
The girls are great....they amaze me. They speak Japanese together now more than English. It's basic Japanese but it's still amazing to listen to. It warms my heart to hear them play together...so sweet. Kate is becoming more independent everyday and Mae is learning how to handle her...and her own emotions. She's getting better at tolerating Kate and being kind to her. Sometimes though they get a little rough but it isn't too bad. They hug and kiss each other and love to cuddle on the couch to watch TV....so cute. We are blessed.
