We are off for a week this week, spring break. We took the girls to the local aquarium on Sunday. They loved the dolphin show. Mae loved the penguins too. Kate was just happy to be there.
Mae and Kate are starting to speak more Japanese these days. Mae has just started this past month, after she had a quiet first year in the daycare. Now she speaks Japanese at home with Kate. Her teacher said she can fight in Japanese too....I guess that's a good thing! ha!
On April 1st the girls are entering a new daycare...a closer one for us and a bigger one. It's a public one with more space. Since space is at a premium in Japan we are delighted to have a backyard space with trees and even a little wading pool for the kids. The summers are so hot here they definitely need that. We are so happy they got in. We applied and had to wait list so it was good news to hear we got in.
