Yesterday we all went out on a local zodiac to see more whales. A local friend of the family; Dan Dinn, let us go out on a complimentary ride so we thought why not. Little did we know we would see a spectacular humpback whale show that lasted about an hour. As you can see on the above picture, we weren't in the big boat, we were in a smaller zodiac and approached the other local boat tour company, there were two whales between us....the green shades in the water.

They came right up to us (the white thing is Kate's head...had to put her hood up we were getting wet!) and stayed there looking at us for ages! They'd roll over and splash us and even pop up to have a look at us.

Love this one....they did this all the time, I swear just to look at us!

Here is comes again, his nose...

Rolling over and playing in the water.
They were so playful and peaceful, it was truly an amazing thing to see. We were soaked when we got in from them splashing us and blowing their spouts on us. The big boat next to us were shocked at how close we were to them. The guy driving the boat almost touched their nose. Amazing.......
