Today Mae, Hiroko and I went to the midwives for a check up. She took us to a nearby clinic to meet the doctor in case I have any complications. He speaks English and seems quit nice. I felt great having that all organized. If there are any problems we will go there. He has a nice clinic...very hi-tech. All the clinics here in Japan seem to be that way. All the top ultrasound machines, computer motorized chairs even! All you do it sit and the chair does all the rest! ha.
Anyway, I am doing well. The baby is good, she is average size he says. About 2300 grams and healthy so far. She gained about 500 g. since last time. The doc said he doesn't think I will go early. That was good news for me. I don't want to go early!
We are all getting excited now. Mae says "baby sister" and seems aware there is something going on. I'm sure it will be a big adjustment but I hope she will be a gentle big sister. Fingers crossed!
